The Admissions Process:

Developing Yourself for a Career in Podiatric Medicine

It’s never too early to begin preparing for your application to Scholl College. Pursuing a strong pre-medical course of study during your undergraduate years will be critical to your readiness for the rigors of the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree. Below is a list of pre-requisite undergraduate courses for admission to Scholl College.

Pre-requisites

90 semester credit hours, or 135 quarter hours, including the following minimum credits:

Biology 12 semester hours or 18 quarter hours
General/Inorganic Chemistry 8 semester hours or 12 quarter hours
Organic Chemistry 8 semester hours or 12 quarter hours
Physics 8 semester hours or 12 quarter hours
English 6 semester hours or 9 quarter hours

The faculty at Scholl College believe students will benefit from advanced Biology courses, including, but not limited to, biochemistry, microbiology or any other upper-division science coursework. All science courses must include laboratory work, where applicable. The only substitute course the faculty will allow is for Biochemistry in lieu of Organic Chemistry II.
